About Us   RAMP Testimonials

The Morrissey Group does more than develop cutting edge conferences.
We move industries forward by providing year round engagement and support.

Full Life-Cycle Business Development Services

We provide year-round business development support for all of our clients, including PR support, webinar management and execution, white paper placement, facilitated meetings and introductions, boutique events, private dinners and more. We offer the highest level of personalized attention and a client-first business ethic unmatched in the conference industry.

Fostering Industry Relationships Year-Round

We are dedicated to engaging all event attendees year-round. RAMP is supported by a 1,000 member Linked-In Community comprised of retailers and the full eco-system of the alternative payments and mobile services community. Dynamic discussions and debates are accompanied by informative articles, press releases and industry insights.

Preparing For Who You Will Meet, And Staying Connected

Conferences are as much about contacts as they are about content. All speakers, sponsors, partners and attendees can be found within the Linked-In Group. We distribute the attendee lists to all event participants well in advance of the start-date so that each attendee can actively prepare for who they will meet onsite.

As much attention is given to the group after the events as before, giving attendees a perfect mechanism for keeping in touch with peers and partners after the event as well and keeping engaged about what’s going on in your industry.

Engagement At The Highest Level

RAMP is supported by an unparalleled Advisory Board which helps to shape event content, identify the most pressing issues for lively debates and determine the best possible executives to be onstage as well as in the audience.

What Clients Have To Say

Scott Dueweke, Senior Associate, Booz Allen Hamilton

Most conferences are predictable affairs. You know what to expect. Panels are advertisements, keynotes longer paid advertisements. Presenters are shills with canned content they try to adapt to meet the conference. Little real discussion occurs. Presenters run over their allotted times, and little effort is expended to tie them together.

Not Morrissey Group Conferences.

The theme is established. Lively discussions are the expected products of panels. Keynotes set the tone, without being adverts. The intellectual climate is constantly fed by Melissa's interjections and guidance. Part emcee, part match-maker, part industry bon-vivant, Melissa keeps it all on track with an energy and humor and intelligence I've never witnessed before. If you're going to go to one conference this year, or spend your marketing money on one event, make sure The Morrissey Group is running it.

Jon Squire, SVP Business Development and Strategy – Corfire

The RAMP experience met and exceeded every expectation we had. We had a great chance to interact with retailers as well as industry leaders. Unlike a lot of the other conferences where it’s a lot of talking heads in the space who don’t actually have retailers present, RAMP went out of their way to actually get the retailers here which for me and for us is a core focus.

Mohammad Khan, Founder and President, ViVOtech

What we saw was a great combination of the merchants which is really very important…The agenda that was laid out was consciously made, as I understand, to be participated in by the retailers. The day was STARTED with the retailers and that’s very good because it gets people engaged [from the start].

Paul Coppinger, President & Founder, Apriva

Some of the finest minds in the industry have come together to commune and exchange ideas. It’s extraordinary-- the level of dialogue that occurs in the room. RAMP is very different [from other events] in one key respect . It’s free form. The program and the format change hour by hour – it’s very open. The dialog goes to where it really matters – where it is really relevant. There is no other conference that has that.

Corey Wilson, Business Development, UPM RFID

For us RAMP has been fantastic. We came here looking to speak to a particular market and a particular audience with C-level individuals. These have been the absolute perfect people for us to talk to. Everyone we engaged with was highly interactive and highly involved and engaged in discussions.

Einar Rosenberg, CTO, Narian Technologies

I go to many conferences and speak at a good number of them as well. I have to say Morrissey Group conferences exceed all expectations…Conferences have become dragged out commercials for companies who go on stage. They are supposed to be about learning and debating to move an industry forward. Most conferences are the commercial type. Morrissey Group Conferences are the rare breed that can make a whole industry turn 180 degrees, just because they create the environment to inspire and debate change.

Jim Fridl, President, The Veratis Group

The quality of the participants is tremendous. It’s really different because the RAMP personnel have really taken it upon themselves to cause the interaction between the participants. That’s been so helpful for us. We have probably closed three deals here – in the first day. Its just a rare opportunity when you have so many good things happening at one time.

Will Wang Graylin, Founder and CEO, ROAM Data, Inc.

Melissa works tirelessly to make the events a success and [is] a terrific host. She is knowledgeable about the (Mobile Payments) space and who to invite and she asks great questions when moderating. I would highly recommend Melissa and her events and look forward to the next one.

Wedge Greene, Former Distinguished Technical Member, MCIWorldcom

Melissa is who I go to for development of trade shows or for personal publicity. Together we planned and successfully put on the very first NGN-OSS and NGOSS conferences, a year before I took the concept to the TeleManagement Forum. Besides her organizational skills, Melissa understands how to engineer entertainment experiences that promote trade and commerce. She never relents: once I remember working all night with her to develop a one day replacement course when her scheduled seminar teacher did not show. In a tough business full of transients [conference management] Melissa continues to shine.

Robert Ziegler, CEO, Corduro

The most exciting part of RAMP has been the fact that you have allowed us to be a true partner with you – to engage with you at levels that demonstrate our interests in the industry as well as our ability to participate in an effective way.

Ann Klein, VP of Corporate Training, ClkClk & Michael Churchill, VP, Product Development, Social Strategy, ClkClk

We met people we would have never have met. We haven’t been able to make the critical corporate connections that we were able to make so easily at this event. RAMP has exceeded our expectations. What they promised is exactly what we received and beyond that. They’ve been very helpful with helping launch our organization.
